About the ArtistI create my art work to express my inner workings (feelings, thinking, and willing), and internal intellectual development. I also approach art as an adventure and learning experience. I paint what I learn, and I learn what I paint. My work is usually a visual representation of a mental thought, or image. Many times, I dream what I paint, and I paint what I dream. Other times, I let form develop out of color, and then content out of form. I prefer pointillism as a painting technique when possible. I am a colorist and experiment with color in my present journey to work out a Unified Color Theory. |
Who I Am |
I am a visual and color field artist who has a strong interest in the nature of color and light and seeks to further my understanding in this field of color theory to better understand the painting process and create visually appealing art.

My Background |
The artist’s influences have come mainly from his art instructors in college, his colleagues, technical reading, his own inner workings, and the constant study of the great maters and their works. A knowledge of art history has given him a sense of what the next stage in art might or could be. The artist earned an AFA at Macomb Community College, a BA at the University of Michigan, and a Basic Diploma at sacred Heart Major Seminary. Other major guiding influences are Rudolf Steiner, Goethe, and Aristotle, especially when it comes to the understanding of color and light as it pertains to visual art. The artist was exposed to the work of many artists in his term as President of the Lakeside Palette Club, and the different artistic approaches artists take in their work. The artist’s artistic philosophy is simple – let form develop out of color, and then content out of form. The artist works to unify light, color, form and content for the viewer to experience.
